&’Costa is the ideal space for experimenting. The vicenza-based company arose by the effort of designer Carlo Zerbaro, after a long time spent working in the design sector, where he is widely recognised. He has always been creating objects that satisfy the needs of the customer. In his youth, after having been experimenting materials, he would experiment with the world of industrial design. Then, enthusiastically, he have become a designer, an art director and that would let him follow prestigious italian and foreign companies. In occasion of the Cologne internional Furniture Fair, hired by Assaredo he designed the mounting and the corporate image for the pavillon “Italia” and the italian one for the fair “Interieur”in Vienna. He took part in many exhibitions all over the world, and presented some creations at the MOMA in New York. He received the prizes “Du Pont” in Cologne, “Young Design” in Milan, “Casaidea” in Rome, “Le best of now! Design à vivre” in the prestigious Parisian fair Maison et Objet. In Paris he has been cooperating with the renowed French brand Roche Bobois. The necessity of self-producing his own ideas, became stronger and stronger : so Carlo Zerbaro decided to open a studio-laboratory where his ideas can take shape. He would experiment the most appropriate materials up to the final manufacturing of the product. Grown in a family involved in Hydro-power eingineering, he chose lighting as his work focus. Now, he works everyday with young artists, relying on a solid team, which created &’Costa. From his industrial designer position, he has found access in the mondial markets, by presenting sophicasticate designed products, with an accurate study of the material and details. The passion for the materials and the aestetic research is the main focus of the team. &’Costa relies on the quality and on the ethics of the product, as a matter of fact, it has always been couting on the experience of artisans who can convey an essential collaboration and knowledge to the deisngers. Thanks to this exchange the &’Costa objects take shape, differentiating from the global marketplace and mass productions.
